REPORT TO : Production Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
The CRO is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the facility’s process systems, associated equipment, and utilities, in compliance with applicable legislation, class and flag requirements, and the Integrated Facility Management System, while minimizing environmental impact.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Ensure the Company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) Assurance System, as defined in the Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management System Manual, is fully implemented and maintained onboard the facility.
-Operate the DCS-based control panel from the central control room to monitor and optimize physical and chemical processes across multiple processing units.
-Manage process start-ups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting activities, while monitoring external process equipment.
-Adjust process parameters as required to meet daily production targets, in line with guidance from the Production Supervisor or designated representative.
-Coordinate daily maintenance and repair activities, including CFTs, shutdowns, isolations, and planned maintenance.
-Ensure all Permit to Work (PTW) documentation and associated certificates are properly acknowledged, signed, issued, and closed out.
-Identify and control hazards to prevent harm to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
-Ensure all entries in logs, reports, production records, and Basnet are accurate and compliant with the Integrated Facility Management System.
-Compile data for daily production reports and maintain detailed logs of all production activities.
-Participate in safety audits and programs and serve as an active member of the Emergency Response Team.
-Monitor and maintain chemical injection equipment, ensuring correct dosage rates for process fluids and gas, and report any variances in chemical usage and inventory in the appropriate logbooks.
-Operate and monitor the meter skid, including meter proving and skid flushing during offtake operations.
-Conduct performance and compliance testing of wells, including diagnosis and optimization of process systems.
-Perform oil quality testing when required.
-Monitor the condition of pipework through corrosion probe readings and iron count analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES
• Educational/Professional Qualifications in Production Operations, Engineering trade.
• Experience as Control Room Operator on an FPSO, hydrocarbon processing or similar facility with experience in the operation and maintenance of DCS-based process system.
