Scope of Role :
Bamboo is looking for a People Operations Analyst to join our People team and support in creating the best people, doing the best work and being their best, most productive selves. To fulfill this objective, you’ll support the people function by executing on a wide-variety of HR tasks across the business and supporting our teams globally in the best possible way. As a People Ops Analyst, you will learn about and provide support in a wide variety of Human Resources functions such as employee experience, recruiting, performance management, training and development, events and operations.
What you will be doing:
-People Operations
-Recruitment & Onboarding
-Support the recruiting function in assisting in full cycle recruiting (including sourcing, scheduling, emailing, extending offers, reporting, and interviewing)
-Facilitate and provide a consistent and awesome new hire experience globally. Conduct people & culture orientation and coordinate all other onboarding sessions.
-Ensure all new hires have a great onboarding experience during and after their probation period.
Benefits & Perks
-Coordinate the implementation of employee benefits and perks including health insurance, birthday cakes, health and wellness, learning and development etc.
-Manage administration of perks for Bamboo Gold (HNI) members.
-Manage administration of perks and celebrations of Staff birthdays and Work Anniversaries
Events Management
-Coordinate the company’s internal events and social calendar (off-sites, monthly team bonding events, team fun events, fireside, lunch and learns, holiday party, etc.)
-Coordinate the execution of the Bamboo moments (Celebration of noteworthy events and staff anniversaries)
-Measure employee experience on these events and ensure engagement and satisfaction
Employee Communication
-Keep the team informed about important company-wide updates such as events, birthdays, anniversaries, notices, policy changes, etc. through appropriate channels.
-Respond to employee day-to-day requests and inquiries, including benefits, leave clarifications, and general workplace support, via email, Slack, HR tools, or in person, escalating issues when necessary.
Employee Documentation
-Maintain accurate data in HR documents, systems, and employee files for all employee lifecycle changes and updates (hire, promotion, performance, compensation, and termination).
People Management
-Support the people team in identifying, developing and implementing key HR initiatives that will enhance the success of our people goals including but not limited to engagement surveys, employee reviews, training + development, and designing career plans.
Office Administration
-Lead and manage office supplies and grocery replenishment, ensuring the office is consistently stocked with essential items (e.g. snacks, beverages, stationery, cleaning supplies).
-Track inventory levels and raise purchase requests in a timely manner.
-Coordinate with vendors and service providers (cleaning services, maintenance, internet providers, etc.).
-Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and functional at all times.
-Coordinate facilities maintenance and cleanliness of the Bamboo Lagos & Abuja office, including vendor and contract management.
-Oversee maintenance of any equipment and security systems in the Bamboo Lagos & Abuja Offices.
About You
-Have 1-2 years of experience in an HR function.
-Are passionate about creating great people experiences, enjoy helping others, love to create initiatives that make a difference and always bring a smile, plenty of energy and pride to their work.
-Are an independent thinker with a strong sense of agency, taking ownership of their work and driving tasks proactively to completion.
-Ability to write clearly and engagingly, crafting messages that enhance employee communication and drive engagement.
-Foundational design skills required, including proficiency with Canva for creating visually engaging content and Powerpoint for presentations.
-Have a good understanding of general people policies & procedures and employment/labor laws.
-Demonstrate great interpersonal skills, able to communicate authentically
-Good attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple priorities including ability to manage and analyze data using Excel and Google Sheets.
-Are very analytical and can find solutions to most problems.
-Are willing to learn & experiment – no ego
-Highly accountable, driven to make an impact.
-Can adapt to new situations quickly and think critically on your feet.
