*About the Role*:
As our Credit Specialist, you will lead credit evaluation and approval processes, develop credit policies, and manage portfolio quality. You’ll work closely with our risk and sales teams to ensure responsible lending.

*Summary*:
Leads the credit assessment and approval process, ensuring policies align with risk appetite and business goals.

*Key Responsibilities*:
1. Loan Origination
Identify and engage potential SME clients through marketing and field visits.
Build and maintain relationships with SME business owners.
Conduct market surveys and feasibility studies to identify viable lending opportunities.
2. Credit Appraisal & Analysis
Evaluate loan applications submitted by SME clients.
Conduct creditworthiness assessments including financial analysis, business analysis, and risk profiling.
Perform site visits and due diligence on applicants’ businesses.
Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approval.
3. Loan Processing
Ensure loan applications are complete and comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Submit loan proposals to the credit committee for approval.
Facilitate loan documentation and disbursement process in collaboration with the operations department.
4. Portfolio Management
Monitor the performance of SME loan accounts to ensure timely repayments.
Maintain an updated database of clients and loan status.
