Job Purpose
The Filling Line Operator is responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of filling machines
and equipment used in product packaging. This role ensures that all filling activities are carried out safely, accurately,
and in compliance with established quality and production standards to meet daily output targets.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Equipment Operation and Monitoring
• Operate filling line machinery for packaging lubricants and related products in accordance with standard
operating procedures (SOPs).
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines to ensure correct fill volumes, labeling, and sealing.
• Monitor production parameters to maintain consistent product quality and output.
• Identify and promptly report any equipment faults or operational abnormalities.
Production Efficiency
• Ensure optimal line performance by minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Assist in changeovers and line setup for different product types or packaging formats.
• Maintain accurate production records, including output volumes, rejects, and downtime reports.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and quality teams to resolve operational issues.

Quality Control and Compliance
• Ensure all products are filled, sealed, and labeled according to company quality specifications.
• Perform routine checks for leakages, fill accuracy, labeling correctness, and packaging integrity.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard hygiene protocols.
• Support internal audits, product inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.

Safety and Maintenance
• Adhere strictly to all safety, health, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of filling equipment to ensure operational reliability.
• Participate in preventive maintenance schedules as directed by the maintenance team.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Documentation and Reporting
• Record daily production activities, including materials used, quantities filled, and shift observations.
• Report any production challenges, quality deviations, or equipment breakdowns promptly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency programs.
Tank Farm Operations Support
• Supervise product transfers between tanks, blending units, and dispatch facilities.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for loading, unloading, and storage activities.
• Coordinate with operations and quality teams to ensure product quality and traceability.
• Support blending operations by providing accurate quantities of base oils and additives as requested.
Documentation and Reporting
• Maintain accurate daily stock movement records (receipts, issues, returns, and transfers).
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Track stock usage trends and report potential losses, discrepancies, or operational anomalies.
Compliance and Safety
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations, including safe handling and storage of petroleum products.
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards in the warehouse and tank farm areas.
• Participate in routine safety inspections, drills, and compliance audits.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to the Supervisor.
Coordination and Team Support
• Collaborate with logistics, blending, and quality control teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Support product dispatch and documentation in line with customer delivery requirements.
• Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Requirement:
• OND, Technical Certificate, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years proven experience in operating filling or packaging machinery, preferably
in lubricant, FMCG, or manufacturing industries.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with production line operations, equipment calibration, and basic
maintenance procedures.
