Cathodic Protection Technician
Reports to – Head, Pipelines Development
Location -Imo, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom and Delta (Nigeria)

ROLE SUMMARY
The Cathodic Protection Technician (#CPTechnician) will be responsible for the installation and testing of cathodic protection system for the pipeline project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•        Soil resistivity measurements using the wenner four-pin method.
•        Hands-on experience in thermit welding, cable laying and test station installation as per approved drawings.
•        Perform periodic monitoring and maintenance as required.
•        Operate and maintain CP testing equipment including, Cu(Cuso4) reference cell, multimeter, clamp meter, megger and data logger.
•        Prepare daily and monthly activity reports, highlighting field readings, anomalies and corrective actions.
•        Ability to read and execute work as per technical drawings and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS
·      A Diploma or a HND/Degree in any course.
·      Minimum of 10 year’s experience in Cathodic Protection systems for a pipeline project.
