Job Title – Contract Engineers & Builders (Construction Projects)

Location – Abuja, FCT (70% Travel)

Overview
Onekobo Technologies is seeking highly experienced and results-driven professionals to join its project team on a contract basis. We are recruiting seasoned experts with a minimum of 10 years’ construction experience for the following roles:
• Electrical Engineers
• Civil Engineers
• Mechanical Engineers
• Builders
Successful candidates will play a critical role in delivering high-quality construction projects within defined timelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities
General Responsibilities (Applicable to All Roles):
• Participate in planning, execution, and supervision of construction projects
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance where necessary
• Prepare and review technical drawings, reports, and documentation
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets
• Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges
Role-Specific Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Engineers
• Design, install, and maintain electrical systems for construction projects
• Ensure proper integration of electrical components with other systems
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure system efficiency
2. Civil Engineers
• Oversee structural design, site development, and infrastructure works
• Ensure quality control of materials and construction processes
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments
3. Mechanical Engineers
• Design and supervise installation of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
• Ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently and meet project specifications
• Provide maintenance support during project execution
4. Builders
• Supervise day-to-day construction site activities
• Coordinate artisans and subcontractors
• Ensure projects are executed according to approved designs and specifications
Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years relevant construction experience
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in relevant field (Engineering, Building, etc.)
• Professional certification or membership (e.g., COREN, NSE, NIOB) is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
Contract Details
• Duration – 4 – 10 months
• Location – Abuja, FCT (70% Travel)
• Remuneration – Competitive and commensurate with experience
