Job Description

Jon Title – Information Security Intern
Location – Yaba, Lagos
Salary – N250,000
Work Mode – Hybrid
Resumption Date: Available for immediate resumption

Intern Responsibilities
Information Security & Compliance Support
1. Assist the team in coordinating activities related to ISO 27001 certification preparation, including documentation support, process mapping assistance, and evidence gathering.
2. Support the development, review, and documentation of information security policies, procedures, and standards under the supervision of the designated team lead.
3. Track assigned compliance tasks and help maintain organized and updated compliance documentation.
4. Provide support during internal security audits and compliance reviews.

Platform Security & Testing Support
1. Work with the engineering team and assigned technical lead to support security testing activities.
2. Assist in coordinating vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises conducted by internal or external security partners.
3. Help document findings from security testing and maintain records of remediation activities.
4. Escalate any observed security concerns to the appropriate team members.

Data Protection & Privacy Support
1. Support the implementation of data protection policies and internal controls across the organization.
2. Assist in monitoring adherence to internal data protection practices and relevant regulations.
3. Maintain documentation related to data handling, storage, and protection practices.
4. Support initiatives to raise awareness of data protection best practices among staff.

Security Awareness & Documentation
1. Assist with the preparation of security awareness materials and internal training resources.
2. Support documentation of security risk assessments and risk registers.
3. Maintain a centralized repository for security documentation, policies, and reports.

General Support Duties
1. Conduct research on emerging security threats, regulatory updates, and industry best practices.
2. Provide administrative and operational support for security-related initiatives within the Platform & Services team.
3. Assist with other tasks or responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the Company.
