Job Title – Head of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation
Job Title
The Head of Research will lead the design, execution, and dissemination of high-quality research that informs HelpMum’s programs, products & policy engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement HelpMum’s research strategy aligned with organizational goals
Lead the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies
Oversee data collection, analysis, and interpretation to generate actionable insights
Ensure research outputs meet ethical standards and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with program, product, and partnerships teams to integrate research into decision-making
Publish findings in reports, policy briefs, and peer-reviewed journals
Build and manage partnerships with academic institutions, NGOs, and research bodies
Supervise and mentor research staff and consultants
Support grant writing and donor reporting with strong evidence and data
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Epidemiology, Social Sciences, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant research experience, preferably in health sector.
Strong experience in research design, data analysis, and impact evaluation with strong evidences.
Proven track record of publications or research dissemination
Familiarity with ethical research standards and approval processes
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
