My name is Emmanuella. I am a young Nigerian lady based in Osun state Nigeria

Growing up, I was that child who loved to dress up, take pictures, and be the main character in front of the camera. As I grew older, that love evolved into something deeper — storytelling. I became fascinated not just with being in videos, but with telling stories through them.

My journey started with apps like VivaVideo and InShot. Somehow, without being taught, I understood the function of every button — where to split, how to add text, effects, and transitions that would wow my then audience of family members and my Grade 11 classmates. Editing came naturally to me.

When CapCut was first released, I remember being surprised that I was the only one in my family who already knew what it was and how to use it. Not long after, anyone with an upcoming birthday was sent my way: “Ehmar is the one that knows how to do this thing,” they would always say. I found myself editing birthday videos, slideshows, and later, content for friends and brands owned by relatives.

While others casually watched videos on Instagram, I was always excited by new mobile editing techniques, especially from creators like Productive Vee. CapCut became my happy place. Every new feature felt like a gift — the kind of excitement you get when something truly aligns with what you love doing.

I eventually poured this passion into my personal content and my small business, HolyShimmer Accessories. The brand grew largely because of my ability to create crisp, engaging video content with proper lighting and storytelling — even when I was using an iPhone X. In fact, some of my most viral videos were created with that phone, and many people could not believe such results came from a mobile device. Through strong visual storytelling, HolyShimmer experienced viral moments, increased engagement, good sales, and consistent profit.

Mobile videography and editing are skills that come naturally to me. I enjoy working with transitions, clean cuts, proper lighting, and storytelling that keeps viewers engaged. I currently shoot and edit with an iPhone (13 series) and use CapCut Pro, and I am always open and excited to learn, grow, and refine my craft further.
