Welcome to KivoSpot (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the KivoSpot website, platform, and services. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use KivoSpot.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • By using KivoSpot, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.

2. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms.

3. Consent to Share Your Application

By signing up, you explicitly agree that KivoSpot may share your application materials — including your resume, video CVs, interview recordings, and technical assessments — with potential employers and clients.

  • These clients may include both current and future partners of KivoSpot.
  • Once shared, KivoSpot does not control how employers/clients use your materials.
  • This consent is continuing and does not require additional approval from you each time.
  • If you do not agree, you cannot use the KivoSpot platform.

4. Employer Verification & User Safety

  • KivoSpot does its best to verify employers. If an employer cannot provide the required information, we may suspend or close their account.
  • However, the onus remains on users to exercise caution when interacting with employers.
  • Do not:
    • Pay money to any employer or recruiter.
    • Share sensitive personal details (such as your home address, bank details, or ID numbers) unless required by law and after confirming legitimacy.
    • Attend interviews in private residences or unsafe spaces. Always use public or professional settings for onsite interviews.
  • Always check for employers marked as “suspended” or “deleted.” These are not authorized to recruit through KivoSpot.
  • KivoSpot is not responsible for losses resulting from unsafe or fraudulent interactions with employers.

5. Services Provided

  • Profile creation (CV + video CV).
  • Skills verification tests and certification.
  • Access to employer opportunities.
  • Paid subscription plans with added benefits.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

  • Subscription fees are billed as stated at checkout.
  • Some plans renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
  • Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy.

7. Content & Data Rights

  • You retain ownership of your uploaded CVs, videos, interview recordings, and assessments.
  • By uploading content, you grant KivoSpot a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to:
    • Display your profile to employers.
    • Share your content with current and future clients.
    • Use anonymized or representative snippets (blurred video frames, profile highlights, testimonials) for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes.
  • Your data is considered co-owned by you and KivoSpot.
  • You may request removal of marketing materials that directly identify you by contacting support@kivospot.com

8. User Obligations

  • Upload false, misleading, offensive, or unlawful content.
  • Misuse employer contact details.
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

9. Disclaimer

  • KivoSpot does not guarantee employment.
  • All hiring decisions are made solely by employers/clients.
  • Verification badges, tests, and certificates reflect platform performance but are not job guarantees.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • KivoSpot is not responsible for employer actions, misuse of shared data, or hiring outcomes.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.

11. Governing Law & Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of [Insert Governing Country].
  • Disputes will first be resolved through mediation or arbitration where legally possible.

12. Updates

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of KivoSpot means you accept the updated Terms.

Proceeding with your registration means you agree to the KivoSpot Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, and you consent to your resume, video CVs, interview recordings, and assessments being shared with current and future clients. If you do not agree please do not proceed with opening an account.
