Position: Group Head, Human Resource

A reputable Finance Company is seeking to engage a seasoned and highly experienced Human Resource professional for the position of Group Head, Human Resource.

Job Summary

The Group Head, Human Resource will provide strategic leadership for the HR function across the organization, ensuring effective people management, regulatory compliance, and alignment of HR strategy with the company’s overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

– Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with corporate and business goals
– Lead talent acquisition, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives
– Oversee performance management systems, employee engagement, and discipline processes
– Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices
– Drive organizational development, culture change, and change management initiatives
– Advise executive management on HR policies, employee relations, and people risk management
– Oversee compensation & benefits, learning & development, and HR operations across the group

Academic & Professional Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline
– A Master’s degree (MBA, MSc HRM, MSc Industrial Relations, or related field) will be a strong advantage
– Mandatory professional membership of recognized HR bodies such as:
– Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM)
– Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD – UK)
– Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) or equivalent

Experience & Competency
Requirements

– Minimum of 10–15 years progressive HR experience, preferably within the financial services sector
– Proven experience operating at senior or executive HR leadership level
– Strong understanding of HR governance, compliance, and labour regulations
– Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills
– Preferably male
– Must be available to resume almost immediately
