Role Summary
The Program Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between mentors and scholars, coordinating all foundation scholarship programs, mentorship activities, and student support services. This role requires proactive relationship management to bridge the gap between mentors and students while maintaining accountability systems.

Key Responsibilities
●Serve as primary liaison between mentors and scholars, actively bridging the gap and ensuring strong connections
●Conduct regular touch base sessions with scholars and mentors to monitor engagement and relationship quality
●Facilitate communication and relationships between mentors, scholars, and stakeholders
Research and build a database of potential mentors according to industry trends and scholar needs
●Identify and reach out to professionals in relevant fields for mentorship opportunities
●Maintain and update mentor lists with detailed profiles and areas of expertise
●Coordinate all foundation programs and activities, including scholarship applications, selections, and disbursements
●Organize mentorship sessions, workshops, and program events
●Manage program schedules and ensure smooth implementation
●Keep scholars in check through a structured documentation system of their own design (tracking academic performance, attendance, mentor meetings, milestones)
●Support scholars with program requirements, resources, and tuition-related needs
●Track scholarship applications, payments, and student records using spreadsheets or software
●Maintain accurate daily and weekly records of scholar activities, mentor interactions, and program outcomes
Follow up with scholars for academic progress updates, mentor session attendance, and feedback
●Prepare reports on program activities, scholar outcomes, mentor engagement, and foundation impact
●Maintain accurate records of program activities, participant information, and scholarship disbursements
●Handle administrative tasks related to program operations

Requirements
●Minimum 1–2 years of experience in program coordination, education, student services, or nonprofit work
●Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build authentic relationships
●Strong organizational and coordination abilities
●Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups (students, mentors, donors, professionals)
●Detail-oriented with good record-keeping skills and the ability to create effective tracking systems
●Strong written communication skillsfor reports and correspondence
●Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
●Research skills to identify and recruit potential mentors across various industries
●Proactive approach to problem-solving and bridging communication gaps
●Empathy and passion for education and youth development
●Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, and communication tools
●Experience with student mentorship or scholarship programs is an advantage
●Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with students and professionals
●Self-motivated with the ability to design and implement accountability systems
