Job Description
# Product Designer
[Open Roles At Bayse Markets](https://bayse.notion.site/build-w-bayse)
### About this role
Bayse is building a prediction market and trading platform, which means design is not just about aesthetics. It is about trust, clarity, speed, and helping users make decisions with confidence. As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing core trading experiences that users rely on daily, including market discovery, trade execution, positions, portfolios, and performance insights, and so much more.
You will work at the intersection of product, engineering, and quantitative thinking. You will turn complex market mechanics into simple, intuitive interfaces, and you will be held to a high bar for craft, usability, and consistency. This is a high ownership role for someone who can take ambiguous problems, define the right user experience, and ship production-ready designs that move key business metrics.
If you have experience designing financial or trading products, or you understand prediction markets (or ready to be obsessed over it), you will have a strong advantage, and we need you.
### Key Responsibilities
– **Own core platform UX:** Design and improve the end-to-end trading experience across market discovery, market detail, order placement, confirmations, positions, portfolios, and settlement outcomes.
– **Design for trust and correctness:** Ensure flows are clear, consistent, and hard to misunderstand. Reduce user error, improve comprehension, and design safeguards for high-stakes actions.
– **Simplify complex systems:** Translate market mechanics into intuitive interaction patterns, information hierarchy, and UI that feels simple, fast, and reliable.
– **Lead product design execution:** Produce high-quality user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI for web and mobile, with a strong bar for visual craft and interaction details.
– **Partner deeply with product and engineering:** Drive alignment on requirements, constraints, and tradeoffs. Support implementation through detailed specs, design QA, and iteration.
– **Create and evolve design systems:** Contribute to a scalable design system and component library that supports speed, consistency, and high-quality execution.
– **Use research and data to iterate:** Pull insights from user feedback, support logs, session reviews, and product metrics. Run lightweight testing to validate key decisions.
– **Ship and improve continuously:** Own post-launch iteration, measure impact, and continuously refine experiences that drive adoption, trading frequency, and retention.
### About You
– 4+ years of experience designing high-usage digital products, with strong examples of shipped work.
– A portfolio that demonstrates excellent product thinking, high-quality UI craft, and clear reasoning behind decisions.
– Strong proficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping and design systems workflows.
– Solid understanding of UX/UI fundamentals, information design, accessibility, and mobile-first interaction patterns.
– Ability to operate in ambiguity, define the problem, propose strong solutions, and drive work to completion with high ownership.
– Excellent communication skills, you can articulate decisions clearly, align stakeholders, and collaborate tightly with engineering.
– Knowledge of prediction markets, or experience designing finance or trading interfaces (positions, portfolios, charts, order flows, confirmations, risk cues) is a major advantage.
– Comfortable working at high standards and pace, without sacrificing quality.
