Role Summary
The Systems & Implementation Engineer implements and supports customer environments across cybersecurity and infrastructure projects. You will manage technical work packages from deployment planning to configuration, testing, handover, and post-implementation support, collaborating with solution architects, project managers, and customer IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement cybersecurity and infrastructure solutions (on-prem, hybrid, cloud) according to approved designs
• Perform Windows and Linux administration: installation, hardening, patching, troubleshooting, tuning
• Deliver secure configurations aligned with best practices (least privilege, segmentation, logging, backup/restore)
• Support identity and access integrations (AD, Entra ID/Azure AD, LDAP, SSO, MFA)
• Execute changes with discipline: change requests, rollback plans, approvals, evidence capture
• Produce documentation: implementation plans, as-builts, runbooks, test results, handover notes
• Provide L2 support during project stabilization and transition to operations/managed services
• Participate in discovery and solution validation sessions; provide accurate technical inputs.
Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years hands-on Windows Server & Linux administration
• Windows: AD DS, DNS, GPO, DHCP, patching, troubleshooting
• Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu): services, permissions, package management, logging, troubleshooting
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, DNS, certificates, proxies, firewalls
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Exposure to cybersecurity tools: EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM/MFA, WAF, vulnerability management, backup/DR
• Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and/or cloud fundamentals (Azure/AWS/GCP)
• ITIL fundamentals and ticketing/change control experience
• Certifications: Microsoft, Red Hat/Linux, CompTIA Network+/Security+, ITIL, OEM-specific
What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)
• Complete onboarding, lab validations, internal standards training
• Deliver at least 2 implementation projects with clean documentation and handover
• Demonstrate reliable change discipline and strong customer communication
• Independently execute standard tasks and troubleshooting with minimal rework
