About the role
Our client, a fast-growing digital banking institution, is seeking a driven and commercially minded Branch / Operations Manager to lead its Benue State operations. This is a high-impact role that blends strategic oversight with hands-on day-to-day management, sitting at the intersection of customer experience, operational efficiency, and business growth. You will be the face of the institution in the state and the engine behind its service delivery.
Key responsibilities
Oversee the full branch operations cycle, ensuring compliance with internal policies, CBN regulations, and operational standards.
Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction across digital and in-person touchpoints.
Lead, coach, and manage a team to meet performance targets and service delivery goals.
Manage branch P&L, monitor financial performance, and contribute to deposit mobilisation and revenue targets.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the Benue State market.
Coordinate with head office on escalations, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Champion the adoption of digital banking products and channels among customers and staff.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years of banking or financial services experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Solid understanding of CBN regulations, AML/KYC compliance, and banking operations best practices.
Experience in a digital bank, microfinance bank, fintech, or technology-forward financial institution is highly desirable.
Strong commercial awareness and proven ability to grow market share and deepen customer relationships.
Familiarity with Benue State and its commercial landscape is a strong advantage.
