Job Title – Business Development Coordinator
Location – Lagos

Reports To – General Manager
Job Summary:
The Business Development Coordinator will support the company’s growth objectives by identifying new business opportunities, coordinating client engagements, and supporting the preparation and submission of bids and proposals within the oil & gas services sector. The role also involves maintaining client databases, tracking opportunities, monitoring market trends, and ensuring effective coordination between technical and commercial teams to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Support
Identify and track prospective clients including oil & gas operators, EPC contractors, fabrication yards, and asset owners.
Support client engagement activities such as meetings, presentations, and follow-ups.
Maintain an up-to-date database of clients, prospects, and key contacts.
Assist in managing relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
Bidding, Proposal & Commercial Support
Coordinate the preparation, submission, and follow-up of RFQs, tenders, and proposals.
Liaise with technical, QHSE, and operations teams to gather required inputs for bids.
Ensure proposals meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and internal approval processes.
Track bid status and maintain records of successful and unsuccessful submissions.
Market Intelligence & Opportunity Tracking
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming projects within Nigeria.
Identify new business opportunities in NDT services such as AUT, RT, UT, MPI, PT, PAUT, TOFD, and related inspection services.
Support vendor registration, prequalification, and onboarding processes.
Reporting & Coordination
Maintain a structured business development pipeline and opportunity tracker.
Prepare periodic business development reports for management.
Support coordination between Business Development, Operations, Finance, and QHSE teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE)
Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental policies and regulatory requirements.
Promote safe working practices and take responsibility for personal and team safety.
Qualifications & Experience
Academic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or related fields.
Postgraduate qualification (MBA or M.Sc.) is an added advantage but not mandatory.
Relevant professional certifications in sales, marketing, project management, or oil & gas-related courses are an advantage.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in business development, sales support, client relationship management, marketing, or commercial roles.
Experience in proposal and tender preparation, market research, CRM management, and coordination between technical and commercial teams.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, EPC, Engineering Services, or Technical Services.
Familiarity with tendering platforms such as NIPEX, NCDMB, and IOC vendor systems is an added advantage.

Basic commercial and financial understanding.
Market intelligence and opportunity tracking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of CRM tools is an added advantage.
