Job Description

Job Role – Business Development Manager – Public Sector
Company – A Leading GovTech Firm (Public-Private Partnership)
Location – Abuja, FCT, Nigeria
Type – Full-Time, Permanent
Reports To – CEO

Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage relationships with senior government officials across MDAs, the Presidency, and legislature
• Identify and convert public sector business opportunities across all 36 states + FCT
• Own the full sales pipeline from prospecting to contract execution
• Monitor government policy and translate it into product/deployment opportunities
• Maintain CRM records and produce pipeline/engagement reports for executives
• Build a visible public profile in government, tech, and policy circles
• Collaborate with internal technical and product teams on proposals

Requirements
• 7+ years experience, at least 3 in a senior BD or stakeholder management role
• Deep knowledge of Nigeria’s civil service, procurement, and federal-state dynamics
• Track record of meeting revenue/partnership targets
• Experience engaging government policy processes (budgets, reform programmes, legislative)
• Degree required; postgraduate in business, law, or public policy preferred

KPIs: New contracts signed, pipeline conversion rate, stakeholder engagements, state-level relationships, thought leadership activity, CRM reporting accuracy
