Job Title – Business Development Officer – FMCG Snacks
Department – Sales
Reports to – Business Development Manager
Location – Lagos
Employment Type – Full-time
Salary – N250,000

Job Summary
Support snacks category growth by acquiring new customers, managing distributor relationships, and hitting daily/weekly sales targets across general trade, modern trade, wholesale, and impulse channels in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities
-Prospect and onboard new distributors, retailers, and outlets to expand snacks distribution.
-Build and maintain relationships with existing partners to ensure repeat orders and loyalty.
-Achieve personal and team volume/revenue targets through active selling, order booking, and follow-ups.
-Conduct market visits, monitor competitor activities, and identify trends in snacks (biscuits, chips, confectionery, etc.).
-Execute promotions, tastings, and merchandising to boost visibility and secondary sales.
-Coach distributor sales teams on route coverage, stock rotation, and in-store execution.
-Report daily sales, stock levels, and market feedback; prepare weekly updates.
-Collaborate with supply chain for product availability and timely deliveries.

Requirements
-3–5 years hands-on experience in FMCG sales, ideally in snacks, biscuits, confectionery, or impulse foods.
-Strong knowledge of Nigerian trade channels (general trade, supermarkets, wholesale markets).
-Proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing outlet coverage.
-Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
-Good negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-Comfortable with MS Excel for reporting; basic CRM knowledge a plus.
-Energetic, target-driven, high integrity, and ready for extensive field work
