Job Title – Chef
Location – Lagos
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nigerian Chef with a strong passion for local cuisine and a minimum of five (5) years’ professional experience.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in preparing a wide variety of Nigerian dishes, maintain high hygiene standards, and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills. This role requires someone ready for immediate employment and comfortable working on the Island without accommodation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
Prepare and present high-quality Nigerian dishes consistently.
Plan menus and introduce innovative local recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards
Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
Monitor food stock, control waste, and manage inventory effectively.
Supervise kitchen assistants and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Ensure timely food preparation and service delivery.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Nigerian Chef
Strong knowledge of traditional and contemporary Nigerian cuisine
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Good leadership and team management skills
High level of cleanliness and attention to detail
Must be willing to work on Lagos Island (no accommodation provided)
