Job Title – HR Lead – Oil and Gas (Lagos)
Industry – Oil and Gas
Location – Lagos

Role Overview
The HR Lead will drive end-to-end human resources operations, partnering closely with business leaders to support safe, compliant, and high-performance operations. This role requires strong knowledge of labour laws, industrial relations, workforce planning, and HR practices specific to Oil & Gas environments.
 
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR & Business Partnering by translating business goals onto practical HR strategies aligned with company operational needs.
2. Support and manage manpower planning for workforces.
3. Handle employee relations matters, manage union relationships ensuring they are legally compliant HR practices.
4. Oversee performance management cycles and leadership development initiatives.
5.Support succession planning and critical role identification.
6. Support audits (internal, external, regulatory) and maintain accurate HR records.
7. Provide regular workforce and HR metrics to leadership.
 
Education & Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2. 8 – 12 + years of progressive HR experience, minimum 3 years in Oil & Gas or heavy industry.
3. Professional HR certification (SHRM, CIPD, CIPM, PHRi).
4. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
5. Ability to operate in high-pressure, safety-critical environments.
6. Practical, hands-on, and solutions-oriented mindset.
7. High integrity and confidentiality.
