Job Title – National Sales Manager (Alcoholic Beverages)

Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic and high-impact National Sales Manager to lead our Alcoholic Beverages division.
You will be responsible for the nationwide growth of our spirits portfolio, with a specific focus on premium categories including Whiskies, Gins, and high-value imports.
Your mission is to drive numeric and weighted distribution while building “A-List” relationships across Nigeria’s key commercial hubs—from Lagos and Abuja to Port Harcourt and Kano.
Key Responsibilities
Nation-wide Strategy & Volume Growth: Develop and execute a comprehensive nation-wide sales plan to exceed volume and revenue targets for the premium spirits portfolio.
On-Trade & Off-Trade Mastery: Command presence in the On-Trade (high-end lounges, clubs, and hotels) and Off-Trade (major retail chains and wholesalers) channels.
Route-to-Market (RTM) Excellence: Optimize distribution networks across 7+ regional branches, ensuring “surgical accuracy” in product availability and visibility.
Premium Brand Activations: Collaborate with marketing to execute high-profile trade activations and consumer sampling events that build brand equity for our whisky and spirits brands.
Distributor Management: Identify, appoint, and manage top-tier distributors, negotiating credit terms and margins that ensure mutual profitability.
High-Performing Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and monitor a nationwide team of Regional Sales Managers and field reps, enforcing a culture of “Extreme Ownership” and performance discipline.
Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
Industry Experience: 8+ years of sales leadership experience, with at least 5 years specifically within the Alcoholic Beverage (Spirits/Whisky) sector in Nigeria.
Relationship Network: A “deep” Rolodex of contacts within major Nigerian hospitality groups and key spirit wholesalers.
Technical Sales: Expert knowledge of alcohol regulatory compliance, licensing laws, and luxury brand positioning.
