Job Title – Project Engineer
Employment Type – On-site, Full time
Location – Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria
Job Summary
We are looking to engage competent and experienced Project Engineer to install, maintain and operate our large capacity sites in Nigeria. He or she will work with the Head of Installation to install PV inverters, commission new equipment, and increase customer satisfaction through quality service and professional behaviour.

Key responsibilities:
Project Management
Developing project plans to execute sales contracts.
Designing and planning solar power installations.
Leading the supply chain process including sourcing and ordering parts internationally and locally.
Conducting quality assurance of technical installations of both Daystar’s team as well as the installations of our technical partners.
Directing, coordinating, and supervising the installations of solar power solutions; and
Training clients on the operation and optimal utilization of systems
General
Implement standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar installation work.
Develop standard operating procedures and HSE standards for solar installation work.
Review technological trends in the local and global energy sector.
Develop and coach technical staff to meet the objectives of the company.
Assist in market research and identify solar energy projects in Nigeria.
Working condition
Approximately 30% of time shall be spent in office environments with the remaining time in the field.
Requirements
1. Education: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in Electrical Engineering roles and managing large scale and industrial projects in the solar industry (preferred) or power industry.
3. Professional Membership: Preferably a professional engineer with NSE, COREN and engineering certifications
4. Language Proficiency: English.
5. Character: Proven leadership experience
Self-motivated and demonstrate a sense of ownership with high level of commitment and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Good communication skills and ability to lead and work well in teams.
Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands, passion for renewable energy.
Attention to details and extraordinary oral and written communication skills.
Willingness to adapt, learn and grow with the company.
High level of integrity
Ability to work effectively and harmoniously in a group.

6. PMP Certification is a plus.
7.HSE certification is an advantage.
8.Flexible to travel domestically and internationally.
