Job Title – Project/ Site Manager
Location – Akoka Yaba, Lagos State
Type – Contract staff (6 months)
Work Schedule – Monday -Saturday
Salary – 200k per month
Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Contract Staff member to support our ongoing construction project at Akoka Yaba, Lagos. The ideal candidate will assist in various operational and administrative tasks to ensure project efficiency and adherence to timelines. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination
– Assist in planning and organizing project activities to meet deadlines.
– Facilitate communication between project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
2. Documentation Management
– Maintain accurate records of project documents, including contracts, drawings, and reports.
– Ensure all documentation is updated and accessible to relevant parties.
3. Site Support
– Provide on-site assistance to project managers and supervisors.
– Monitor daily operations and report any issues or delays to management.
4. Quality Assurance
– Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
– Assist in implementing corrective measures as needed.
5. Budget Tracking
– Help monitor project expenses and assist in budget management.
– Report discrepancies and recommend adjustments to maintain financial control.
6. Communication and Reporting
– Prepare regular project updates and progress reports for management.
– Attend project meetings and document key discussions and decisions.
Requirements
– Educational Background:
– Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
– Experience:
– Previous experience in construction or project management (1-3 years).
– Technical Skills:
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
– Communication Skills:
– Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
– Organizational Skills:
– Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Problem-Solving Skills:
– Ability to identify issues proactively and recommend effective solutions.
– Certifications:
– Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) or safety (e.g., OSHA) are a plus.
