Job Title – QHSE Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned QHSE Manager with demonstrated expertise in Quality Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems. The ideal candidate will be adept at risk assessment, hazard identification, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance, with proven hands-on experience across onshore and offshore operations.
This role requires a proactive leader who can drive a zero-incident culture, ensure compliance with Nigerian statutory requirements, and align operations with ISO standards.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience in the Oil & Gas or Construction Industry.
Strong knowledge of HSE-MS (Management Systems), Permit-to-Work (PTW), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and Emergency Response Planning (ERP).
Membership of safety professional body is an added advantage such as NISP (Nigerian Institute of Safety Professionals)
NEBOSH Certification and other relevant Safety Certifications are an added advantage.
In-depth knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks (e.g., Factories Act, DPR Guidelines, NOSDRA Regulations).
Strong leadership, communication, and auditing skills.
Ability to manage Quality Integrated Management System: ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
Job Description
As the QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and manuals in line with ISO and Nigerian standards.
Conducting risk assessments, hazard analysis, and safety audits across all operational sites.
Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company HSE-MS.
Leading incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions.
Coordinating emergency response drills and ensuring readiness of contingency plans.
Managing environmental impact assessments (EIA) and sustainability initiatives.
Training and mentoring staff on HSE best practices and behavioral safety programs.
Liaising with regulatory bodies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with global HSE standards.
Driving continuous improvement through KPIs, audits, and safety performance reviews.
