Job Title – Resident Internal Control Officer (RICO)
Job Summary
We are hiring a Resident Internal Control Officer (RICO) for a digital microfinance bank based in Benue State. This role is suited for a detail-focused professional with strong control, compliance, and risk management experience within the financial services sector.
You will oversee internal control processes, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and strengthen risk management practices across operations. The role requires both on-site presence and remote support under a hybrid work structure.
Location – Benue State
Work Structure – Hybrid
Salary – ₦150,000 monthly
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and enforce internal control policies and procedures
* Conduct routine and surprise control checks across operations
* Identify control gaps and recommend corrective actions
* Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies
* Review transactions and flag irregularities or potential risks
* Prepare periodic control and audit reports
* Support fraud prevention and investigation activities
* Liaise with relevant units to ensure prompt resolution of control issues
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
* 2–5 years’ experience in internal control, audit, or compliance within a bank or financial institution
* Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and risk management practices
* Good understanding of digital banking operations is an advantage
* High level of integrity and attention to detail
* Strong analytical and reporting skills
