Job Title – Safety Officer
Location – Lekki, Lagos.
Employment Type – Full-Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of workplace safety procedures, risk assessment, incident reporting, and regulatory compliance, especially within logistics, haulage, transportation, or industrial operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety policies.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
3. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and company standards.
4. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
5. Organize safety trainings, inductions, and awareness programs for staff.
6. Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
7. Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
8. Ensure emergency response procedures are properly implemented.
9. Advise management on safety improvements and preventive measures.
10. Liaise with regulatory authorities when necessary.

Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree or HND in Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
2. Professional safety certification is an added advantage.
3. Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
4. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.. 
5. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
6. Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Salary
N250,000 – N300,000 and negotiable based on experience.
