Job Description

Job Position – Senior Accountant
Job Location – Jabi, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type – Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all financial accounting operations of the organization
Handle trade finance transactions including Letters of Credit (LC), Bills for Collection, and Bank Guarantees
Liaise with banks and financial institutions on import/export financing and documentation
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with international trade regulations and policies
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and foreign exchange transactions
Ensure accurate recording of trade-related transactions in the accounting system
Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for business decision-making
Ensure compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and internal controls
Support audits (internal and external) and ensure timely resolution of audit queries
Supervise and guide junior accounting staff
Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement

Requirements
Minimum of B.Sc/ Masters . in Accounting, Finance,
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, with strong focus on trade finance
Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage
In-depth knowledge of Letters of Credit (LC), import/export documentation, and banking processes
Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax regulations, and compliance
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
