Job Description

Job Title – Site Engineer
Location –  Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type – Full-time

Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor day-to-day site operations.
• Ensure project work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other professionals on site.
• Manage site documentation including reports, materials usage, labor records, and progress updates.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to technical workers and clients.
• Ensure all materials used and work performed comply with quality standards and project specifications.
• Resolve unexpected technical difficulties and coordinate problem-solving efforts on-site.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to enforce compliance.
• Manage project timelines, budgeting, and reporting.
• Liaise with local authorities for permits, inspections, and approvals when necessary.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or any related field.
• Proven experience of 4-7 years as a site engineer or similar role in construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, MS Project, or Revit.
• Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and make decisions under pressure.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
• Valid professional certification or license is a plus.

Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of green building standards or sustainability practices.
• Familiarity with modern construction technologies and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with surveying and measurement tools.
