Job Title – Agronomy Manager
Reporting Line – Farm Operations Manager
Location – Kaduna State

Role Mission: 
Focuses on improving agricultural productivity, sustainability, and profitability through effective crop and soil management, technical leadership, and operational coordination.

Role Goals: 
• Optimize crop production and farm performance by implementing best agronomic practices.
• Manage resources efficiently while Improving yield and quality. 
• Ensure sustainable agricultural operations aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, implement and manage crop production plans based on soil, climate, and market requirements.
• Conduct soil and nutrient analysis & management to Ensure efficient use of fertilizers and soil amendments.
• Design and monitor integrated pest and disease management strategies to minimize crop losses while ensuring safe chemical use.
• Conduct research and introduce innovation with sustainable agriculture practices.
• Manage the operational of the farm
• Reduce wastage and improve cost efficiency without compromising yield.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and safety standards.

Minimum Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Science, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in agronomy, crop production, or commercial farming.
• Strong knowledge of crop production systems, soil fertility, irrigation, and pest management.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Hands-on experience in Crop planning and yield optimization, Soil analysis and nutrient management, Pest and disease control programs and Farm operations coordination
• Experience working in large-scale or commercial agricultural operations is preferred.
• Proven track record of improving yield, reducing costs, and implementing sustainable practices.
