Job Description

Job Title – Financial Reporting & Accounting Lead at Hobark International Limited
Location – Lagos

Qualifications & Experience
– BSc in Accounting or any related field
– Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, CPA, or CGMA).
– Candidate must have solid experience within an Exploration & Production (Upstream) environment.
– Exposure to upstream financial structures, joint venture reporting, production accounting interface, and regulatory reporting requirements is essential.
– Candidates without direct upstream experience will not be considered.

Hands-On Reporting Capability (End-to-End Ownership)
– Must be fully hands-on and capable of independently handling the entire financial reporting cycle from start to finish.
– Should be able to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements without supervision.
– Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, provisions, audit schedules, and management reporting packs is required.
– Minimum of 8 – 10 Years Specific Financial Reporting Experience
At least 8 years of dedicated financial reporting experience (not general accounting).
The experience must be clearly reporting-focused, with demonstrated responsibility for preparing and reviewing financial statements.
– Advanced Excel Proficiency
– Strong working knowledge of Excel is mandatory.
– Must be comfortable with advanced functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, financial models, and large data manipulation.
– The candidate should be able to build reporting templates and automate reporting processes where possible.
– ERP Experience – Sage (Mandatory)
– Practical working experience with ERP systems is required.
– Hands-on experience with Sage is compulsory.
– Candidate must be able to extract data, generate reports, and manage reporting modules within the system.
