Job Title – Office Geologist (Geotechnical Experience Required)
Location – Head Office – Lagos (Occasional Site Visits)
Work Nature – Full-Time

Hitech Construction Company Ltd is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Office Geologist to support our growing infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret borehole logs, core samples, and laboratory test results
Prepare detailed geotechnical reports with soil/rock characterization and foundation recommendations
Analyse subsurface risks such as settlement, slope instability, erosion, and ground conditions
Support engineering and design teams with accurate geological data
Maintain and manage geotechnical databases and documentation
Contribute to tender documentation with technical insights
Conduct occasional site verification visits

Requirements
• BSc/MSc in Geology, Applied Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in geotechnical or engineering geology, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of soil and rock mechanics
• Experience with site investigations and foundation recommendations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, GEO5, Rocscience, or similar tools
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills
