Job Title – Regional Sales Manager (East)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and performance-driven Regional Sales Manager (East) to lead sales execution, distribution expansion, and visibility strategies for our toothpaste and skincare product portfolio across the Eastern region.
The RSM will be responsible for driving revenue growth, distributor performance, market penetration, team effectiveness, and ensuring strict journey planning and reporting discipline across assigned states.
*Key Responsibilities*
*Sales & Market Development*
* Deliver sales and distribution targets for toothpaste and skincare products across assigned states.
* Drive numeric and weighted distribution across General Trade (GT) and open markets.
* Expand coverage in rural and peri-urban markets using cost-effective distribution models.
*Distributor & Key Account Management*
* Appoint, develop, and manage state-level distributors and sub-distributors.
* Ensure adequate stock availability and optimal stock cover across all territories.
* Strengthen and grow key accounts and strategic trade relationships within the region.
*Team Leadership & Journey Planning*
* Supervise, coach, and performance-manage Sales Representatives and Merchandisers.
* Develop and enforce effective state-by-state journey plans for all field staff.
* Ensure daily outlet coverage using the 70:20:10 rule (70% existing outlets, 20% new outlets, 10% visibility/activation).
*Reporting & Performance Management*
* Ensure timely submission of Daily Sales Reports (DSR) from all field teams.
* Compile and analyze weekly performance reviews covering sales, distribution, and competitor activity.
* Prepare and submit structured monthly performance reports to the National Sales Manager.
* Trade Marketing Execution
* Collaborate with the marketing team to execute promotions, sampling, and in-market activations.
* Ensure effective POSM deployment and merchandising compliance across all states.
* Track promotional ROI and recommend data-driven improvements.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Regional Sales Manager or Senior Sales Manager within FMCG.
* Strong background in managing distributors, field sales teams, and multi-state territories.
* Experience handling toothpaste, personal care, or skincare products is an advantage.
* Strong analytical, reporting, and leadership skills.
* Ability to drive performance in competitive and fast-moving markets.
