Backend Developer

Job Description

Location: Remote
Team: Engineering
Reports to: Engineering Lead

What You’ll Do (and Build at Scale):
Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
Build secure, well-documented APIs that support mobile and web applications.
Manage databases, authentication, and core business logic.
Ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability across services.
Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver features end-to-end.
Write clean, testable code and participate in architecture decisions.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve infrastructure.

What You Bring to the Table:
3+ years experience with Node.js backend development.
Strong understanding of APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and server-side architecture.
Experience with authentication, security, and data protection.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows.
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
Bonus Points If You:
Have experience in fintech, crypto, or financial systems.
Have worked with microservices or event-driven architectures.
Understand blockchain integrations or wallet infrastructure.
Have scaled systems to thousands or millions of users.
